The Order The News Articles Are Presented
How the news usually orders the news is by the most important/eventful first and the lest eventful last. so lets take the day of 911, it was all over the news and it was covered in the majority of the broadcasts. how they find the most important story is simply how much it is talked about and how shocking/dramatic it is.
in terms of this news broadcast, it starts off with about 5 schools were closed down because of Muslims trying take over. where they use the words "Fear and immigration" which the news is trying to show this article in a fearful way. last being about a sports injury which is really minor compared to school immigration from Muslims. also in most cases the most important story is part of the title because it is that important!

the order of the articles that are presented is knows as the term "Ordering" meaning putting the most important stories first and the least important last. some other stories wouldn't make it onto the news which still would be posted on the broadcasters official website.

How News Broadcasts Start Off Their Broadcasts
They mostly start off with their intro which is massively news themed. then the cover all the stories that they are going to talk about in the broadcast with the most important first to the least important last. This is what the video does!

The role of a new presenter/reader is to present the news. this does require a really good skill of speaking, reading and a huge amount of confidence. also how you present it is really important but the most vital thing of being a news presenter/reader is to keep a neutral ground meaning you cant choose sides on air. most presenters/reader are around the ages from 25 to 65 with a decent background. both male and female.

Terms

The Term "Think And Act Quickly" is so important in the news industry as lets say an event happened, like London got bombed, to think and act fast would get the article out their faster meaning people would pay attention to their news article first. its like a race, who gets their first, in this case, the articles. this mostly leads onto competition between other broadcasts.

the term "Slow News Day" is basically saying the broadcasters are lacking of articles to present or the articles given doesn't have and in depth details, this would make it hard for everyone working on the broadcast to keep the broadcast flowing like normal in some cases can be awkward.

The final story usually functions as a emotion catching story which can be positive or negative. in the cases of the link i gave, it is reporting a death in a soft attitude so it was a negative way to wrap up the broadcast.

The term "News Values" is to determine how each story should be valued (in importance) also it is been seen a a guideline, i found this image below which has all the factors that input into news values. also this mixes in with the news ordering!

News Being Bias?
The new in this day and age, the news is very bias meaning the news can be unfair/judgmental/selective.

Order bias is where there the broadcast chooses which story gets more attention than other which needs more attention. like in the link about leaving rick's death at the end, it needed more attention about schools closing down!

Selective bias is where the broadcast abandons articles which needs to be covered. an example of this is mostly a general thing. solders get no attention for their countless deaths gangsta terrorists and the broadcast chooses to provide minor subjects.

Being bias through the title is where they give a article a title which isn't true. a huge one is false/mistaken pedophile allegations towards certain celebrities. also this really blends in to the political side of news articles.

Bias through different camera angels is very uncommon but mostly seen when someone in the news is a guest and need the camer facing them because they are about to say something emotional/important/interesting and instead, face the camera towards someone else on the broadcast. people find this type of bias being really disrespectful and can cause a outrage!

Name bias is where they give a name to describe a person or a event. let say the would best footballers came onto a news show and the used the term "Known Footballer" and then you get someone who is popular but is not the best footballer, the news would use the quote "Legendary Footballer". how the presenter refers the two footballers as the best as "known" and not the best one as "legendary" is unfair. the presenter is being selective which when you present, you need to keep a neutral ground!

Emotive language bias is where something needs to be said in emotion and instead expresses it as like it is nothing or the complete opposite. so lets take rick's death, it would be presented in a sad way to provide the viewers emotion, if that was bias, the presenter would say it like it is nothing which would cause a ton of people to be angry!
